Marstons Mills - Mark Anthony Cordeiro, 66 years young, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Cape Cod Hospital, MA. Born on March 11, 1954 in Fairhaven, MA son to the late Thelma and Joseph Cordeiro (originally from Swansea, MA). Mark was also predeceased by his sister, Susan Ann Cordeiro.
He attended Fairhaven High School and completed many courses to obtain and maintain his licenses necessary for his professional landscaping career. He worked for the lawn company Mark was the Fertilization Manager for Veterinos Landscaping Company out of Barnstable, MA for the last 12 years.
Before settling down on Cape Cod, Mark lived in Arlington, Texas, Georgia and Marion, MA after spending his childhood in Fairhaven. When in Arlington he owned his own business for 20 years. He is survived by his son Blake of Austin, TX, his daughter Victoria and one and only beloved Grandchild, Greyson, of Barnstable, and his brothers, Joseph (Margaret) of Hyannis And Bruce (Maryann) of Mattapoisett.
Mark was Commander of the Wequaquet Lake Yacht Club and loved being out on the water. He then became good friends with many people at the WLYC. Dennis Lajoie continued to be a really good lifelong friend. He enjoyed woodworking and diagnosing, tinkering and fixing machinery, cars, landscaping equipment, power tools, etc. Anything that posed a challenge and use of his hands. However, his gift and love was using his knowledge and expertise to evaluate, diagnose and treat shrubs, flowers, lawns, trees, all things living and growing on his customers' properties.
He was a big teddy bear with a heart of gold. He would drop anything and everything to help friends and family in need. He was generous, kind, fair and always supportive. His presence, laugh and love touched many lives and he will be greatly missed by all his friends, family and customers.
