William P. Hubert, of East Bridgewater, passed away on January 13, 2021 at the age of 77. He was the son of the late Lillian L. (Crowley) and Charles A. Hubert.
William was born and raised in Boston, residing in the Southie neighborhood. He was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. Willian met the love of his life, Elizabeth (Victoria), in 1965 and the two married in 1967. They settled in East Bridgewater, where they would raise their family. In 1970, he started his career working with the MBTA as a bus driver. At the age of 47, he was able to retire and he then began working many other jobs in his off time. William worked as a bus driver for the East Bridgewater school systems for many years, The Lantana, East Bridgewater Commercial Club, and most recently as a security officer at the East Bridgewater Junior/Senior High School.
William was an outgoing and friendly man. He was jokester and had the greatest personality. He was a wonderful father and grandfather. William was a former member of St. Kevin’s Emerald
Knights of Dorchester, and a former Chairman of the Board of Health in East Bridgewater. He was also a lifetime member and past President of East Bridgewater Commercial Club.
William was the loving husband of Elizabeth (Victoria) Hubert. Father of Kelly A. Green of East Bridgewater and William A. Hubert and his fiancé Leila Ferbert of Berkley. Grandfather of Joseph S. Green of East Bridgewater. Brother of Richard Hubert of Plainville and the late Charles Sonny Hubert. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 18th from 5:00PM-7:00PM at the Prophett Funeral Home in Bridgewater, located on 98 Bedford Street. Please follow COVID-19 restrictions and wear a mask and social distance. A private service will be held the following day, Tuesday, January 19th at 10:00AM.
