Stephen S. Haynes, 69, of Mashpee, passed away on February 16, 2021 at Falmouth Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Jean R. Rocca, with whom he shared 35 wonderful years of marriage together.

Stephen was born December 11, 1951 to the late Charles E. and Marie C. (Holmberg) Haynes at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, MA. Stephen grew up in Popponesset and was a true Cape Codder at heart. After graduating high school, Stephen settled on the Cape and never looked back. He made his living as carpenter and painter and is credited with many home improvements all over the area. Nothing made Stephen happier than spending time at the beach with family and friends. He truly embodied the welcoming, fun-loving, and laid-back nature of what people imagine life on Cape Cod to be. He loved cruising around town in his red Chevelle SS convertible, but more than anything Stephen loved to be in his favorite place hanging out with his favorite people. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to his beloved wife, Jean, Stephen is survived by his sister Paula, his nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Stephen was predeceased by his youngest sister Andrea Haynes Pierce.
