Sarah Marie Fannon
1934 – 2020
Sally Bache Fannon of Bass River, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the age of 85. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts and was raised on Carver Hill in South Natick by her paternal grandmother, Minnie Lane Bache, along with her brothers, Tommy, Danny and Jimmy Bache. Sally met and married the love of her life, Luke J. Fannon in 1956 and raised their young family in Hudson, Massachusetts, finally moving to Cape Cod where they met and enjoyed 40 years near the ocean surrounded by her visiting children and grandchildren. Sally was a devoted wife and mother who put her family first and enjoyed being where ever they were. Sally travelled the world extensively with her husband Luke and children, but was happiest on Cape Cod enjoying their boat, going to the beach and spending time with her extended family and friends who visited often. Sally was always up for doing something with her children which placed her camping, on snow machines, ATV’s catamarans, sail boats and over sand vehicles to name a few. Sally looked forward to the annual family trip into Boston at Christmas as she walked through the city enjoying the holiday lights as she watched as her children and grandchildren skating on the Frog Pond on Boston Common along with horse drawn carriage rides with them. Sally loved to garden in her yard, and was a member of St. Pius Church in Yarmouth. Sally enjoyed working at the Blue Water Resort as a front desk clerk for 20 years.
Sally was predeceased by her husband, Luke Fannon and her brother James Bache. She leaves her brother Thomas Bache and wife Joan of Yarmouthport; and Daniel Bache and wife Joanne of Wayland and six (6) children; Maryanne Lively and husband Paul of Hudson; Luke Fannon and wife Vicki of Hudson; Mark Fannon and his wife Diane of Rangeley, Maine; John Fannon and his wife Bea of Webster, Matthew Fannon of Beverly; and Patrick Fannon and his wife Janie of West Yarmouth. Sally also leaves nine (9) grandchildren; Kelly Zilembo, Christen Rogers, Sarah Curry, Will Lively, Erin Fannon, Kayley Fannon, Dana Fannon, Kori Fannon and Taylor Bemis and four (4) great grandchildren; Audrey & Nora Rogers, Eli Bemis and Birk Zilembo along with a new great-grand-daughter on the way and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
