Rebecca M. (Amado) Mobley 69 passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 after a brief struggle with Coronavirus. She was predeceased by her husband Waldo (Doc) Mobley. Becky was the daughter of the late Caroline and John Amado.

Becky grew up on Cape Cod and graduated from Barnstable High School. She worked as a dietician. She later moved to New Jersey where she met her cherished husband, Doc. They later moved to St. Louis, Missouri where they would meet new friends that truly became their second family. Becky accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was Baptized in 1999 at St. Johns Baptist church in New Jersey.  She was an active and dedicated member at St. Joseph M.B. Church in St. Louis. She was on the Health Unit and assisted with the event planning and was always willing to help where she could.

Becky did not have children of her own, but she was a loving and nurturing mother (Gommy was her preferred name) to so many. She loved children so much that she started caring for them in her home. Children loved to be with Gommy.

Becky loved the beach and sunsets. Her best vacations were going on cruises with her family and extended family. Becky was loved by all; she would light up the room with her smile. She was blessed with a creative and artistic talent, making jewelry and special personalized Birthday and Holiday cards for her friends and family. She made center pieces, favors and decorations for weddings, graduations and parties. She was always offering to help.

Becky is survived by her siblings Sheila (husband Gary), Rodney (wife Cheryl), Peter (wife Elfreda), Juanita, predeceased by her brother John (Shaggy) and brother-in-law Peter Vandewoestyne. Also, Aunts and Uncles Tina and Max, Marianne and Danny, Logan and Dannie, Helen, Elsie, many nieces and nephews, a host of cousins, extended family and endless friends.
