Margaret L. Lynch (Robinson) age 89 of Bridgewater passed away in her home January 3, 2021. Margaret was born in Brockton, daughter of the late Ida (Ostiguy) and Neal Robinson. Margaret “Peggy” was raised and educated in Brockton and had made Bridgewater her home since 1959. She worked many years in the cafeteria for the Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District.
Wife of the late Raymond D. Lynch. Beloved mother of Michael J. Lynch of Bridgewater, Matthew J. Lynch and his fiancée Paula J. Card of Bridgewater, Maureen L. Bodendorf and her husband Robert of Bridgewater and Michelle Bowers of Smithfield, RI. Sister to Kenneth Robinson of Brockton, Fay McCabe of Bridgewater, Carol Sergi of East Taunton, the late Russell Robinson of West Bridgewater and the late Neil Robinson of East Bridgewater. Proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Peggy was an avid bowler and won many trophies and awards. She enjoyed spending weekends going to yard sales and auctions. She took many excursions throughout the country and also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Peggy enjoyed knitting and crocheting and created many beautiful blankets.
While married, Peggy was determined to achieve her high school diploma and went to the Brockton Night School and graduated in 1960. Sadly, Peggy was widowed in 1976 and left to raise the four children on her own. She was a strong and dedicated woman and encouraged her son Michael to participate in several Special Olympics Games.
In addition to her loving family, Peggy was well cared-for by an exceptional group of healthcare workers.
Visiting hours with Covid-19 restrictions will be held Saturday, January 9th from 10:00-12 Noon in the Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home 98 Bedford Street Bridgewater. For those wishing to watch the funeral service via Zoom, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The link to the Zoom meeting will be sent out to those who email the morning of the funeral about 30 minutes before the service - please do not call asking for the information prior to then.
A private family Funeral Service will be held at noon, and a private burial will follow in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
