Jeanne G. Santiago

Jeanne G. Santiago (Auger), 81, of East Falmouth, MA peacefully received her angel wings with her family close by on January 7, 2021 after a brief illness.

Jeanne’s unselfish, sweet kindness would warm your heart. She listened with full empathy to you and would make you feel so loved by her compassion and gentle words. She worshiped the Lord God, Jesus and all the Saints and prayed for everyone always.

She grew up in Putnam, CT and graduated from a Catholic school. She worked as a bank teller at First National Bank in Falmouth, as a bookkeeper for Wynn Oil Company and The Falmouth Nursing Home, and as a housekeeper before she retired. She loved cooking and was an avid baker just like her father.  She was easy going woman who liked camping, gardening, playing games, bingo, slots, puzzles, singing karaoke and telling stories, her joking ways, laugh and smile will be missed by so many.

She had countless friends and all the kid’s friends that called her “Mom” or “Grandma” she cherished them like family. Jeanne definitely treasured her family endlessly and was devoted to making them a priority in everything from praying to phone calls, baking something special, to heartfelt cards or gifts constantly thinking of them and missing them. Jeanne unconditionally loved and cherished her beloved husband Albert or “honey” as she called him from the day they met over 60 years ago until an Angel from God appeared and took her beautiful soul to heaven.

Jeanne was predeceased by her father Roland E. Auger and mother Gabrielle D. Auger (Despelteau) of Putnam, CT.; son Albert Santiago, Jr.; sister Theresa Santerre and husband Leon; and brothers Albert Auger and Roland Auger.  Jeanne leaves behind her wonderful, devoted loving husband and her best friend Albert Santiago, Sr. of East Falmouth, MA; son James M. Santiago; daughters Jean M. Perra and husband Paul and Patricia A. Santiago; her brothers George L. Auger and wife Bernice, Bernard P. Auger and wife Anne, sister Claire Louise Gates; 4 grandchildren Kayla Graham, Alicia Santiago, Gabrielle Santiago, Sadie Santiago; 6  great-grandchildren William, Michaela, Riley, Brayden, Aria, Zachariah; and countless nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Public services for Jeanne G. Santiago have been cancelled. A burial service will be held at a later date at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
