Frederick Ward

1924 ∼ 2021

Frederick Ward, age 96, left this world on Monday, January 4, 2021.   He and his bride of 64 years lived in the same home in East Falmouth since the day they were wed. 

A WWII veteran, Frederick spent most of his working years in carpentry.   He was retired from his work at the MBL in Woods Hole where he worked in the carpenter shop for many years.

Fred loved all things aeronautical, especially old bi planes.  When he was no longer able fly in them anymore, he spent his spare tire making airplane models.  

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Marshal) Ward, Two daughters: Marti Kinkor of Eastham, MA and Rosemary Merana of Lake Monroe, FL.   He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Nathalie Almeida of Falmouth, MA and by his beloved niece, Donna Skelly of Falmouth MA and nephew William Abrams of Wareham, MA both of whom he loved like his own children.

Frederick had two grandsons: Elijah O’Ward of Bridgewater, MA and David Teeters of Dade City, FL.  He had five great grandsons.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s church in East Falmouth
