David E. Bonni

David E. Bonni, a lifelong Bridgewater resident, passed away due to cancer at Seasons Hospice in Milton at 67 years of age on Monday, January 11th. David was surrounded by his family and listening to the Beach Boys when God called him home.
David was born in Brockton, was raised and educated in Bridgewater, graduating from Bridgewater Raynham High School in 1971. He worked at The Belknap White Group ceramic and flooring center in Avon for many years. David loved to travel and the beach, and he vacationed on the beach in Fort Lauderdale and Aruba annually. Dave was a certified SkyDiver who had made numerous jumps over the years. Dave was also an accomplished day trader for both currencies and commodities. Dave loved golf, and working out with his friends every morning at LA Fitness in Stoughton, in his youth was an excellent slow-pitch softball pitcher. David loved his family, friends, and the many cats, dogs, and hamsters he adopted over the years. Dave loved music, especially the Beach Boys, who he saw in concert countless times. He will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him.
Son of the late Gloria J. (Mills) and Edward H. Bonni. Beloved brother of Christopher S. Bonni and Diane E. Mercer and her husband Michael of Bridgewater, loving Uncle of Michele M. Malaspino also of Bridgewater. Also survived by Uncle and Aunt Richard and Paula Bonfiglioli of Bridgewater and Aunt Mary Ann Thomas of Bridgewater, and many beloved cousins.
Visiting hours with Covid-19 restrictions will begin in the Prophett-Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home 98 Bedford Street Bridgewater Tuesday, January 19th at 10:00am and conclude with a private family Funeral Service at Noon.
