My Dear Alva, I was just telling my husband about our rule of never saying we are having a good day on the floor during our shiff. I called it the Alva rule. It could only be said as we were leaving the floor to clock out at the end of the day. I have such fond memories of working our weekend shifts. I think of you often and remember the stories of your children and their sports. You touched many lives, now you have your wings. God Bless you and the loved ones you had to leave behind.

I grew up with mike and jonny. same neighborhood, same group of friends, same hockey team.(or against each-other.) But we always got along despite the teams we played for. We hung out alot After school at their house with other neighborhood friends and there was never a dull moment. Me personally, i have only met manny and alva a few times that i can remember, but i do know that the both of them treated me like i was one of their own. Because of all that, mike introduced me to joe, and from there i had a job for many years. Ive always respected this family and their love for eachother. Best wishes...Colin

We love you, Alva and will miss you so much. You were always so sweet to my family. Kari and I will never forget your kindness towards our mom. She adored you. We will never forget the times you said you loved us when we saw you or how many times you said our kids were wonderful. Your beauty is seen and will carry on through Joe, Mike, John, Grace, Gabby, and my sister. The world certainly lost a beautiful sole. Fly high sweet Alva. We will never forget you. All our love xox
